Good afternoon Freeman Mustang Families!

School begins on Monday, August 31st at 7:50 a.m. It is a half day. Dismissal is at 11:05 a.m. Bus routes are posted on Freeman's webpage for your convenience. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school on Monday!

The first day of school for Flint Community Schools is August 31st. It is a state requirement for children attending school to be up to date on their required childhood immunizations. If your child is entering 7th grade, or is a new enrollee since January 2026, they will not be able to start classes if the district does not receive up to date documentation of their immunizations status. To assist, Health Services is offering an immunization clinic this week. Please use the QR code on the attached flyer to make an appointment today. You will also have a chance to receive required immunizations during our back to school event happening this Saturday August 29th through Kroger pharmacy, insurance card required. We look forward to seeing you on the first day of school!

Does your Freeman student have a chronic medical condition that requires the use of medication such as an inhaler, Epi Pen, or seizure rescue medication while at school? A new Medication Administration Authorization Form and a supply of medications are required each school year so be sure to complete the required medication administration form as soon as possible to enable us to aid you in the administration of your child’s medication. Prescription medications will only be given with a signed medication administration authorization from parent/guardian. Medication, including refills, must be brought to school by an adult for obvious safety reasons. Flint Soap Box Derby returns to Cronin Derby Downs

Michigan’s only active soap box derby track, Cronin Derby Downs, officially reopened as young racers competed in the 6th Annual Flint Soap Box Derby.

Freeman Had a great time building and racing!!! Thank You Cronin Family for inviting Flint Community Schools to join in on the Fun. We had a Blast!!! We look forward to what the future holds for our young scholars! Congratulations to all racers who were involved in race day, hope to see you back next year!
