Freeman School is operating on a balanced calendar. A balanced calendar means students have a shorter summer, start school earlier that September and ends school later than the traditional school year. Students at Freeman will attend school from August 15th to June 23rd.
On a balanced calendar students are in school roughly 45 days and then have a 10 day break which is called inter-session. During inter-sessions students can opt to take a break like their summer break, or they can come to school for extra support with academics in the morning and activities in the afternoon at no cost to the parent. The morning session will be ran by classroom teachers. The afternoon session will be ran by YouthQuest or Community Education. If your child rides the bus to school, transportation will still be provided during inter-sessions, if they elect to attend.
Blue inter-session applications were sent home. If your want your child to attend the inter-session October 17th-28th, please complete the blue inter-session application and return it to the main office by Monday, October 3rd. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
