Krissy Gatz is a proud Flint kid, born and raised here, and also a Flint Central High School graduate. She attended and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with her teaching certificate. While at the University of Michigan, her minor fields of study were math, social studies, science, and music theory. Later she earned her master’s degree in educational administration. She has taught 27 years in Flint and loves what she does. She loves spending time with her family, playing games, camping, the fall season, going on cruises, and chocolate. She has the two worst fur babies in the history of the world, but she loves them in spite of them being so naughty. She also enjoys watching movies, roasting marshmallows and telling stories around a campfire, watching the snow fall in front of a roaring fire, and getting lost in her thoughts. Her passion is teaching writing as well as writing for fun herself. She has one book already published and is considering doing more; it was so much fun the first time around.
